Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
